This conference is especially important in the year in which Croatia has presided the European Union Council. Meteorology has an important role in supporting activities involving the general public and economy. Public authorities are one of the main users of wide range of meteorological products and information in their everyday work. Unfortunatelly, Croatian presidence of European Union Council was disrupted with new circumstances due to coronavirus pandemics. For this reason, the Conference was postponed from April to November, and even in November it will not be held in person, but in virtual surroundings.

The aims of the conference are: exchange of the most recent results of the scientific research in meteorology; strengthening communication with the users of meteorological data, along with the general public and media; strengthening cooperation between meteorologists and other scientists, as well as promotion and popularization of meteorology.
